Statement of Faith 

What We Believe

We believe in the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the one true God, Creator and Sustainer of all things. We affirm the historic Christian faith expressed in the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the authoritative guide for our faith and life. Scripture tells the story of God's creation, humanity's brokenness, Christ's redemption, and God's promise to make all things new.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God's Son, fully God and fully human. Jesus lived, died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will come again. Through Christ, God reconciles us to Himself and calls us into new life.

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot save ourselves. God's grace meets us in our brokenness and transforms us into the likeness of Christ.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who gives us new life, guides us, equips us with spiritual gifts, and empowers us to participate in God's mission.

We believe every person is created in the image of God and has God-given dignity and worth. Because sin has broken our relationships with God and one another, we need the healing and reconciliation that God provides through Christ.

We believe in the Church, the Body of Christ, called to worship God, make disciples, love our neighbors, care for the vulnerable, and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the hope of God's new creation. God does not abandon the story He has started to write.

What Makes Kavod Distinctive

We meet people where they are.
We believe God is already at work in people's lives and stories. We listen before we speak and create space for people to encounter God.

We make room for healing.
We create communities where people can bring their real stories of pain, loss, trauma, sin, and hope into the presence of God and trusted community. We believe healing is God's work, and we participate through prayer, Scripture, listening, forgiveness, and relationship.

We pursue reconciliation.
We seek to build communities where people of different races, cultures, generations, and economic circumstances can share life together as one family in Christ.

We practice faith through relationship.
We believe discipleship happens not only through teaching but through sharing life, praying together, eating together, serving together, and growing together.

We believe ordinary people are called to ministry.
We equip people to recognize their God-given gifts, grow as disciples, lead others, and participate in God's mission.

We embrace microchurch as an expression of the Church.
Kavod creates relational communities in places where people already live, work, gather, and receive services—bringing the presence of Christ beyond traditional church walls.

We believe God's glory (Kavod) is revealed in and through us.
Kavod exists to make room for God to transform lives and communities, believing that every story can become a testimony of God's grace.
